Instructions:
- Carefully remove "PresStick" pattern sheets from plastic bag. There are four (4) sheets.
- Each sheet is 8.5" x 11". They can easily be attached to one another using common household tape. Stick on tape with "PresStick" watermark facing UP.
- Common pattern sizes such as 8.5" x 11", 11" x 17", and 17" x 22" can be created.
- Once you have determined the size needed for your pattern, arrange the "PresStick" accordingly.
- You are now ready to begin drawing your design. Any writing utensil will work on "PresStick".
- Draw on the surface with the "PresStick" watermark facing UP. Take care not to make your design line larger than the lead or foil shear cutting allowance.
- Once your design is completed on "PresStick", number your pieces and make a copy. This will be a reference map for constructing your panel and we like to call it a CONSTRUCTION SHEET.
- Now it's time to cut your "PresStick" pattern to pieces. You can use lead or foil pattern shears. Work slowly and use the sharpest part of the shears, deep in the 'V'. Clean shears OFTEN by squeezing together SHARPLY to eject paper build-up.
- Apply numbered pattern pieces to appropriate glass color - remove backing and stick to glass.
- HELPFUL TIP: To remove backing, simply fold the image 'SIDE INWARD' and a seperation will appear; grasp and remove.
- "PresStick" provides a RAISED guide for cutting and can be left on during glass grinding, if necessary. A totally water saturated piece will LIFT from the glass surface; simply let air dry and the plate will re-adhere.
- "PresStick" can be re-used NOW or LATER. In production work, peel off SLOWLY and re-stick to next glass piece. If saving for LATER use, simply stick portion of piece to plastic bag after cutting or grinding.
- Lay out finished glass pieces on the CONSTRUCTION SHEET until all have been completed.
- Confidently assemble glass pieces using lead came or copper foil
